Hannah Mann, Environment Programme Manager for the Diocese of Oxford, has kindly shared the following details about a Webinar in October:
We are all too aware of the enormous financial burdens that churches and their congregations are experiencing in the midst of the current cost of living crisis. Particularly, the rising cost of energy bills is becoming a concern for many. On 3rd October at 7.30pm, churches in this and neighbouring deaneries with rural benefices, have the opportunity to gather online and receive some guidance, advice and practical examples of how to manage rising energy costs. There will be tips on no and low-cost measures to save money on energy bills, stories from other churches that have made some practical changes, and the opportunity to share and plan with one another in breakouts using simple tools and resources. At the end of the session, an open discussion about other challenges your churches are facing, and the support that is needed, will be facilitated so that further practical support sessions can be offered in the autumn.
