Abingdon Deanery Prayer Meetings
A prayer meeting will take place on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month from 7.30 am until 8.00 am online via Zoom. The current schedule of meetings can be accessed via the following link: Abingdon Prayer Meetings Schedule Each Parish/Benefice will be a focus for prayer on a set day. It would be good if someone from the Parish/Benefice could attend the Zoom meeting to lead that section of the prayers on their specific day if possible. The areas for prayer will be distributed in advance and, hopefully, some of you may be able to join the meeting. If this isn't possible, perhaps you may be able to remember the Deanery and the area for that particular meeting in your personal prayers. Parishes/Benefices are invited to notify the Deanery Secretary of the names of people to be prayed for, e.g. PCC members, children's ministry leaders, PTO, other areas of church life as applies to them and any specific concerns that they would like to have included for prayer. Please contact Sharon no later than one week before your allotted date via the following email: Abingdon Deanery Secretary
An email can then be circulated outlining areas for prayer for the next meeting to all. The format is simple: The Deanery Lay Chair will lead the meeting and will invite participants at the Zoom meeting to lead one of the given areas for the week. Please don't feel compelled to do so if you would rather not! No advance preparation is needed.
