Parish Support FundAbingdon Deanery has set up a Parish Support Fund (previously known as the Contingency Fund) to support parishes whose reserves may not be sufficient to see them through a particularly difficult time. All parishes in the Deanery have contributed to this fund as a way of providing mutual support.
The fund is not intended to provide long term support where a return to a sustainable position is unlikely, but parishes are invited to apply for a grant to help them through a temporary difficult patch by giving them a "breathing space" to plan and implement steps to address the problem and return to a financially sustainable position.
