Abingdon Deanery

Parish Networking - Shared Practice

As part of moving our Mission Action Plan forward, we are compiling a list of mission activities that take place in our parishes and from which resources / ideas can be shared with churches throughout the Deanery.

We are starting with 'Messy Church' activity and churches are encouraged to make contact with those listed below to share information/experience and find out what is available to help with their individual MAP's. If you wish to add further information to this list, please email: Karen Landon (Deanery Secretary) at this address:

St. Peter's, Drayton
St. Peter's Messy Church has been running for nearly 4 years, which originally started with a service every half term but since our Interregnum (which began in November) we now meet on the 3rd Sunday of most months. The service usually takes place at Drayton Community school. The Messy Church team is headed up by Linda Johnson, Ali Bone and Sue Icke (with refreshments provided by Cheryl and Ian Jarvis). Half a dozen families regularly attend and email/social media is used to keep in touch with them. Please contact Linda Johnson at lindajjcw@gmail.com for more information.

St. Peter, Wootton

Messy Church is held at St. Peter, Wootton on the 4th Sunday of the month (except August) at 3.00pm. Please contact  Dr. Jenni Williams on Woottonvicarage@btinternet.com for further information.

Peachcroft Christian Centre and All Saints Methodist Church - Messy Church  is held every other month on Saturday mornings from 10.30 - 12.30 at All Saints Church in Appleford Drive.
